The Cambridge International Primary Programme is a framework which is designed to facilitate the development of skills and understanding in English, Mathematics and Science at the Primary School Level. It gives invaluable teaching support through quality and comprehensive resources, informative guidelines and objectives while equipping the children with skills to achieve their full potential and broaden their knowledge.
Mount Sinai International School adopted the Cambridge International Primary Programme in 2011/2012 school session. The first cohort wrote the University of Cambridge Primary CheckPoint Examinations towards the end of the standard 6 academic year in English, Mathematics and Science. Certificates from the University of Cambridge were awarded to them at the first graduation ceremony for the primary class and this has been a prestigious way of completing their Primary Education Programme. Testing in other subjects will continue to be internal.
This is a major stride towards achieving our goal of academic excellence since it promotes continuity in the sense that, it prepares the children for the next stage of Cambridge International Secondary through to Secondary CheckPoint in Form 3 and beyond.
