Greetings Dear Parents and Guardians

A little background…

I have been privileged to have taught in various schools across Africa, The Middle East and South East Asia. This has not only afforded me the opportunity to gain extensive experience within the Cambridge curriculum, but to work across cultures, which remains a truly enriching experience.

Subsequently, I believe that we should strive to teach our students about perspectives and traditions from around the world, in the hopes that they will bond over similarities and differences, which in turn, light their paths to becoming global citizens and abandoning prejudices or an ethnocentric worldview—something that is increasingly valuable.

Mount Sinai International School exists to prepare students for a productive life in the twenty-first century. We believe citizens of the future must be life-long learners that are able to work and interact in a diverse society. We believe that education should not only prepare students for successful careers but also equip them with the skills and values necessary to lead meaningful and purposeful lives.

By providing a rigorous academic and caring environment, Mount Sinai International School strives to help students realize their full potential, develop a positive self-concept and enthusiasm for learning.

We encourage all students to develop responsibility for their own behaviour and a concern for others. We seek to inspire students to embrace lifelong learning and strive for personal growth and to demonstrate high standards of behaviour.

We are committed to providing a safe, caring environment, conducive to learning, for all our students. This always works best when there is a culture of transparency. When concerns are openly discussed, they can be addressed quickly and efficiently, leading to better outcomes.

Above all else I see Mount Sinai International School as a place where every day is an opportunity for everyone to achieve their full potential.

We Shine Brighter Together!

Yours in education

My name is Mr. Lovemore Manyuwa and I am the Head of Junior and High School at Mount Sinai International School. I am a qualified educator and furthered my studies in Zimbabwe, Malawi and South Africa. I have worked with the Cambridge International curriculum for over 30 years, in many schools across Africa. In addition to being an educator, I am an author of Mathematics textbooks, which are currently being used by the Ministry of Education in Botswana.

Mount Sinai International School has over 20 years’ experience in providing top quality international education in Malawi. Along with academic rigour, strong tradition and innovation, we equip our pupils with the ability to be well-balanced citizens and leaders of the world.

MSIS has a rigorous academic standards which ensure that students are well prepared all–round the school year. At every stage, a student’s education is carefully planned. Students are active participants in the learning process and their achievement is monitored to ensure success and understanding. This results in consistent excellent Checkpoint and Cambridge IGCSE results.

At MSIS, our talented multi-disciplinary staff work hard to meet the aim of making the entire school community a safe, happy, learning and growing place. We believe that the students’ time in school is the first part of their journey to reaching their goals, and so we work towards making them better believers in themselves. In doing this, they come to us as students and leave us as confident, lifelong learners.

Our school benefits from impressive facilities that enables us to offer a vast range of learning and growing opportunities, both in and out of the classrooms. These include but are not limited to our swimming pool, fully equipped two ICT suites, football pitch, basketball court, volleyball and netball court, music studio, library, subject rooms, indoor sports complex, and a 500 seater capacity multipurpose hall.
