Middle School

Mount Sinai Middle School is for students from Years 4 to Year 7, meaning that the steps in education are smoothed by a gentle ascent. Small class sizes allow teaching and support staff to focus on the individual, support personalised learning, and offer strong pastoral care.

Students from Year 4 begin to access a wider range of specialist facilities. They continue to work with teachers who specialise in subjects such as ICT, Music, Sport and Languages and this expands to subject specialist teaching in all subjects through their Middle School journey.

At year 6 level students write the Cambridge Assessment International Primary Checkpoint examinations in the three core subjects of Mathematics, Science and English Language.

At MSIS we aim for an open and collaborative dialogue with our families, and there are a number of opportunities throughout the academic year to discuss and be informed of student progress. Throughout the year at the end of each term, parents receive a cumulative grade sheet to show a student’s progress.

MSIS students are supported both in and out of the classroom and as they grow and mature, students are afforded increased levels of responsibility and independence.
